Our approach
Fit2Trade takes a practical approach to sustainability: reduce avoidable waste, use digital processes sensibly, consider environmental impact in business decisions and make claims that can be supported.
Where we publish quantified environmental targets or results, we aim to define the relevant scope, baseline, time period and method of measurement so that the claim can be understood and supported.
Digital-first working
Fit2Trade is a digital business and we favour digital documents, workflows, learning and records where they are appropriate. This can reduce reliance on printing and paper-heavy administration, both within Fit2Trade and for customers who choose to digitise those processes.
Digital delivery still has an environmental footprint, so we do not describe digital services as impact-free or claim a specific environmental saving without evidence.
Responsible business operations
We seek proportionate ways to avoid unnecessary resource use in normal business operations, including travel, equipment, energy and office practices. Decisions are considered alongside service quality, security, resilience, cost and the needs of employees and customers.
Product design and customer use
Our products can help organisations replace manual or paper-based processes, consolidate records and improve visibility across sites. Those are operational capabilities; they are not, by themselves, proof of a particular carbon, energy or waste reduction.
Where Fit2Trade develops sustainability-related product capabilities, product functionality is kept separate from claims about Fit2Trade’s own environmental performance.
Suppliers and partners
Our Partner Code of Conduct asks suppliers and business partners to take a proportionate approach to reducing avoidable environmental impact and to comply with applicable environmental requirements.
We do not claim that every supplier has achieved a particular certification, target or level of environmental performance unless that has been verified.
Measurement and public claims
Fit2Trade aims to keep environmental statements specific and supportable. If we publish quantified targets or performance data, we intend to state the relevant scope, time period and basis for measurement and to distinguish targets from verified results.
